MEADOW BREEZE PARK
The Riparian Buffer Project at Brass Castle Creek was completed the week of May 16 with excellent assistance by the DPW and several groups of volunteers. Maintenance plans are
now being developed.
The Township Committee approved our request to use Open Space funds to purchase four (4) new park benches in an amount not to exceed $1500.00. D. Schott will obtain
information on the different types of benches that are available so it can be reviewed at our July meeting.
Information was handed out on what the approximate cost would be for constructing a new two doubles tennis court. The new court without lighting would run roughly around
$65,000. with lighting $85,000 - $90,000. Excavating would run around $5,000. removal of the old courts, grading/seeding, if done by the DPW would be about $3000. Estimated total costs are 95,000 to $100,000. If the
Commission decides to go forward with this project, we will have to present this idea to the Township Committee for their input and/or approval because we will have to use park bond monies for this project. To date there is currently $
